Traditional Acoustic fences are to be free of gaps and holes, including no gaps between the ground and the base of the fence. Typical materials include earth berms, 19mm lapped timber fence (40% overlap), 9mm FC sheet, toughened glass, Perspex, masonry, or a combination of the above (a minimum surface mass of 11kg/m2 is required).
Each FITTA panel is 15kg per m2 and 24mm thick (25mm for Pearl & Tan). That’s 7 times the thickness of colourbond and double that of an average pine fence paling. And because our panels fit together like tongue and groove, you don’t have to worry about gaps or holes.
